I watched Positano and the beach get smaller and smaller as we climbed the mountain to Nocelle. It was a trek, but it was worth the trip. I couldn’t have had a more perfect last full day in Positano.

I had a slight shift in my plans for the day, but this trip is not about stressing over the small things. And I’m glad that I ended up at the beach because the sunset was absolutely beautiful. 

I woke up in the afternoon and wanted to have a relaxing day. My legs were sore from walking up all the stairs the night before and I also needed to do laundry. After work, I watched the sun come up before heading to bed. It was the perfect, relaxing day. 

After walking down multiple flights of stairs, I made it to Spiagga Grande, the main beach in Positano. I knew that I was going to stay in Europe past my flight home on February 17, so I decided to extend my return to March 17 and changed my flight.

I got around 3 hours of sleep, but the excitement of heading to a new place kept me awake. It was going to be a long travel day with two trains and a bus. When I arrived in Positano, the Airbnb was everything that I had hoped it’d be. It was time to relax.

I spent a lot of time figuring out what I’d do during my last full day in Rome. I decided to visit the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. I also successfully completed a full work week while working in a different timezone.

It was a sunny day, so I visited the Pantheon, Piazza Venezia, went shopping, and explored more of the city. It was another successful day of my WFH trip. I’m so glad that I decided to hop on that plane and do this.

After working my first overnight shift in Rome, I slept a full eight hours. It felt good to adjust to this schedule and settle into a rhythm. I went grocery shopping and watched The Lizzie McGuire Movie.

I visited the Colosseum, Spanish Steps, and more before starting my first work shift abroad. Before going to sleep I thought to myself, “Should I delay my return flight home by another month?”

The sun was out and the weather was perfect, so I went exploring when I arrived. I didn’t have any particular destination in mind, so I just turned down the roads that were calling to me.
