I decided to take another day trip, this time to Pisa. It took a little over an hour to take the train and I arrived at 2:45pm.
I was pretty hungry at this point so I decided to stop at an all you can eat sushi restaurant before heading to the Leaning Tower of Pisa for my 4pm timed entry. I was met with more stairs and climbed to the top of the tower where there was a beautiful panoramic view of Pisa.
I stayed at the top of the tower for around an hour as the sun was setting before heading back down. I took the bus to the train station and headed back to Florence, sleeping during most of the ride.
Day trips were exhausting, especially with my schedule, but I found them completely worth the energy. I decided to skip going out again and rest instead.
