Day 6: Rome, Italy

Since we worked late last night, I ended up sleeping in until 3pm. I originally woke up at 1pm but still felt tired so I decided to sleep more. I also felt like I’d done a lot over the past few days and walked a TON so I was ready to have a chill day.

By the time I had gotten myself out of bed and ready, it was around 4pm and I was extremely hungry. I decided to stop by a restaurant I had seen in passing over the past few days called Pepy’s Bar. I sat at a table right by the window with a great view of Piazza Barberini.

I decided it was time to try some pizza since I hadn’t had any yet, so I ordered one with mushrooms and arugula. I’m normally not a huge fan of melted cheese, but this tasted healthier and better than most of the melted cheese in America. I took the rest with me for my “dinner” at 3am.

I had planned to walk around afterwards, but I was freezing the second I stepped outside. It was 50°F but felt much colder due to the wind. Those of you who know me IRL probably know that I’ve mentioned wanting to move to New York City at some point, but I don’t know if I’d be able to do full-time cold during the winter. Perhaps that dream has transitioned into living in NYC part-time during the springtime.

I headed back to the hostel and decided to catch up on my blog posts. I spent a couple hours writing up posts for Day 2, 3, and 4. I’m also trying to do daily TikTok updates but creating all of this content while traveling and working can be exhausting at times. I’m going to try my best to keep everything updated, but be patient with me if I end up a few days behind or need to group some days together.

After publishing the new posts and updating all of my socials with the links, I headed downstairs to heat up some leftover pizza before the start of my shift. I also made some green tea which has become part of my nightly routine. At around 4am, it started raining a bit which I loved because the sound of rain is super relaxing. However, it got really cold downstairs so I headed up to the room an hour earlier than usual and finished work from my bed until 7am, then went to sleep.
