Day 34: Berlin, Germany

It was my last full day in Berlin. I decided I’d try to check out Factory Girl again. This time, there luckily wasn’t too long of a line. I ordered the vegan shakshuka with tofu and potatoes. It was absolutely worth the wait.

I wanted to visit the Holocaust Memorial before I left the city so I headed over after eating. It was a bit rainy, so I took public transportation.

There are 2711 columns above ground at varying heights and then there’s a museum directly below. I walked through the columns and then went underground to view the exhibitions.

It was super interesting to read all the personal stories and of course, sad at the same time. I took my time walking through the rooms and reading about all the families.

Once I was done, I headed back upstairs and made my way back to the hostel. I had a chill night for the rest of the evening and prepared for my journey the next day before starting work.

The past four nights, I had the room to myself in the hostel which was great. I was getting tired of sharing rooms with people and planned to get an Airbnb in one of the next cities.
