Two degrees, two internships, six freelance digital marketing jobs, and five jobs. As of December 2018, I have officially completed my studies and received my Bachelor’s Degree in PR/Advertising: Strategic Communications.
Okay okay, I know. It's been a long time since I last posted something. In fact, it's been over one month. That's the longest I've gone since starting this blog and I sincerely apologize. Excuses aside, it feels good to be writing again and since this is the first you've heard from me in awhile, I thought I'd just post a little personal update/rant about my life.
Today at 3:30 pm, hundreds of college graduates will convene at the Staples Center. A few hours later, they will walk across that stage and accept their diploma. My name will be on that program, but I won't be there. That's right. I am not going to my graduation. There are quite a few different reasons for this, and I will be discussing them in this post.
It's been awhile since I posted a life update so I thought I should write one. For everyone who has stood by me and this whole crazy college situation, thank you. As frustrating as its gotten, it has been great to hear words of encouragement and understanding from others. It's going to be a great summer and I can't wait to share it all with you!
I'm an extremely organized and polished person. I know what I want and I know what it takes to get it. I manifest just about everything that I put my mind to. However, I’m currently at a place in my life where I don’t know what happens next. It’s the unknown that scares me and I’m unsure how to remedy this feeling.
It's official. I've graduated college and am in possession of an Associate's Degree in Social Media Marketing. The past year and a half has been quite the journey. Though FIDM was not what I'd expected it to be, I'm thankful for my life here in Los Angeles. I've been able to create lifelong memories and friendships through the school. I'm not sure where my life is headed next, but I know that I'm mentally in a great place and ready to tackle anything life throws my way.
I haven’t written a post about this quarter yet, so I thought I’d update you all on my life. This summer, I hope to get a head start on my future baseball career. I don’t necessarily know how that’s going to happen yet, but I know that if I set my mind to something... it’ll manifest. I’m going to end this blog post with photos from a photoshoot that I had yesterday.
2016 sure was a crazy year, huh? That was two years ago for you. Wow. In 2016 I figured out the type of people I want to surround myself with, I voted in my first presidential election and I had the time of my life. I know many people said that 2016 was a sh*t year but despite all the heartbreaking moments, it had its amazing ones. How was 2017? All of us have high hopes that it’s going to be great.
